Pema Chodon was born and raised in a Tibetan Refugee camp in Eastern India.
At 19, she received a Fulbright Scholarship from OISCA, International in Tokyo, Japan where she earned a diploma in Industrial Dress Making, Technical Design.
Later, she then received a B.S. in International Trade and Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York. She has worked in the fashion and home design industries for many years, both in India and the United States.
Pema founded Pemcho Design in New York City.
