how do I get to Pure Land Farms?

If you are coming from…

The Pacific Coast Highway: Take Hwy 1 (PCH) to Topanga Canyon Blvd. Driving up the canyon, it is approximately 7 miles to Santa Maria Road (soon after passing ‘Cafe 27’ on your left). Turn right onto Santa Maria Road and drive 1.4 miles. Pure Land Farms is the last property on the left before you reach dirt Mulholland Drive, you will see our logo on the entrance gate. Santa Maria Road is a rough road that is steep at times and has quite a few speed bumps. Please drive slowly for your safety, and respect to our neighbors’ quiet and privacy.

The Valley: Take the 101and exit 26B for Canoga Avenue. Follow Canoga Ave until it turns to Monet Ave, then take an immediate left turn onto Mulholland Dr (the first turn). Follow Mulholland Dr to the last road, Santa Maria and turn right. Pure Land Farms is the first property on the right after two large speed bumps (you will see our logo on the entrance gate). Please note that Mulholland Dr turns into a dirt road, it is bumpy and winding, we do not recommend taking this route after any heavy rain unless you are driving in a 4-wheel drive vehicle or accustomed to rougher terrain.

-OR- Take the 101 to Topanga Canyon Blvd. Drive approximately 5 miles on Topanga Canyon towards the coast to Santa Maria Road. Turn left onto Santa Maria Road and drive 1.4 miles. Pure Land Farms is the last property on the left before you reach dirt Mulholland Drive. Santa Maria Road is rough. Please drive with caution and respect the neighbors’ quiet and privacy by driving slowly.

If taking this route we recommend using Waze GPS (Apple/Google Maps does not always recognize this route).

Enter the gate of Pure Land Farms and follow the road up to the main parking lot. Please do not park on the road outside of our gate.

I have a disability...

We are working to improve our accessibility, and are happy to answer any questions you may have regarding access to our facilities. If you have specialized needs please reach out to discuss them with us ahead of time. We are currently not a wheelchair-accessible facility and the terrain is often rocky and uneven, with a good deal of gravel coverage. If you need assistance upon your arrival, please reach out to our staff. At present, our clinic space is only accessible by staircase, but our therapists can accommodate individual needs in other spaces on site.

Can I visit anytime?

We are open to the public every Wednesday from 9am-1pm for visiting hours when other retreats or programs are not in session. Please check the website calendar for more information.

Food:

Please look at your retreat details carefully to see what meals are or are not included. Otherwise here are the resources you might need to make sure you are well nourished!

There are two grocery marts in Topanga Canyon: Topanga Creek General Store, and Country Natural Food. Otherwise there are plenty of groceries close by in Woodland Hills.

There is a hub of restaurants in the center of Topanga’s town (the intersection of Old Topanga Canyon & Topanga Canyon Road). Our favorites include: Inn of the Seventh Ray, Rocco’s Pizza, and the Canyon Bistro Cafe.

And the best spots for coffee/breakfast: Topanga Living Cafe, Cafe 27, and Cafe Mimosa.
