The Dalai Lama and His People:
Opening night, photography exhibit (complete exhibit June 4th - 16th)
Join master photographer, Don Farber, as he shares his experiences in having the rare privilege of photographing his Holiness the Dalai Lama over the last four decades.
We are very honored to welcome Professor Robert Thurman to be present with the photographer to introduce these rare photographers and talk about Tibetan culture, Buddhism, and his forty year connection with His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
This talk launches a two week photography exhibit of Don Farber’s work, highlighting rare portraits of the Dalai Lama and the people of Tibet’s high plateau. The exhibit will take place in Pure Land Farm’s Yuthok Ling temple and its accompanying traditional Yangchenma Arts Mongolian yurt, culminating on June 16th with Yangchenma Arts & Music’s Musica Mundi: Tibet — a celebration of the arts, music, and culture of Tibet.
