HIDDEN LANDS OF THE HEART aND EARTH

Shambhala is the spiritual kingdom of the Kalachakra tradition, a special beyul or ‘hidden land’ where physical and spiritual realities intersect and yogic practices are especially efficacious.

Join Dr. Nida Chenagtsang and Dr. Ian Baker for a dialogue on sacred geography, pilgrimage and the kingdom of Shambhala, and learn about the yogic practices and meditations that open our channels and awaken our minds to the experience of the sacred landscapes of our own subtle bodies.

The discussion will be followed by a film screening of “Deep into Shambhala” introduced by Simone Giuliani, the composer of the original soundtrack.

About the Film:

Deep into Shambhala: A Visual Soundtrack

Deep Into Shambhala is a stunning visual experience celebrating the beauty of Tibetan culture. It’s a glimpse into the humanity, nature and the magic that surrounds Tibetan culture in all of its aspects.

Directed by Yan Dazhong, with the award-winning original soundtrack by Simone Giuliani,
“Deep Into Shambhala” is an incredible story-telling dream of a journey: 68,200 miles and over 270 days in the making. Originally presented as a TV series, this version of “Deep Into Shambhala” is a one-hour visual soundtrack created especially by the director and the composer.

The soundtrack has been recorded live during a Pure Land Farms concert by Simone Giuliani,
for which he’d like to thank and acknowledge these wonderful musicians:

Eleanor Norton (Cello), Trevor Exter (Cello), Masa Shimizu (Guitar and Bass),
Robbie Angelucci (Guitar), Piero Perelli (Drums), Avi Sills (Percussion), Drukmo Gyal (Vocals)
