June 20, 2026 3 - 6pm
Hormé, known as 'Mongolian Moxibustion', is one of the fundamental external therapies highlighted in the Four Medical Tantras, the root text of Sowa Rigpa (Traditional Tibetan Medicine).
This safe and simple method involves dipping small compresses filled with aromatic wind-pacifying herbs such as nutmeg, ginger, and clove into warm oil and applying them to specific points on the body.
Hormé addresses imbalances in the wind humor (Tib. རླུང་ “loong”) by deeply relaxing, warming, and nourishing the body and mind.
In this three hour introduction, you will learn how to make the compresses, adapt the recipes according to typology, and practice applying the therapy to yourself and others.
