This program is open to graduates and current students of Sowa Riga Institute’s Counselor Program.

Metaphors are a powerful tool for working with clients to inspire change. In this retreat, Dr. Caroline will explore how to use metaphors to gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and the image we project to others. Using an exercise developed by Edith Tilmans, this will enhance our strengths as counselors, increase our awareness of weaknesses, and help us trust our intuition when working with clients. Metaphors will also be taught as a safe and effective language for communication. Imagery and storytelling speak to the mind with fewer words and can provide our clients with greater insights, empowering them to bring about the change they need for healing.

Dr. Nida will teach and guide participants in the practice of Tibetan Dream Yoga, to complement the training in metaphors.

Check in: May 9th between 3 and 6pm. Group dinner and welcome at 6:30pm
